York, Walmart and Lowes to Discuss Managing Effective Relationships Between Risk Managers and TPAs

York is pleased to be joining Walmart and Lowes for a discussion of “Vendor Third Party Administrators: How to Effectively Manage the Relationship and Get Results” at the 2017 Workers’ Compensation Institute conference which will be held from August 6 – 8 at the WCI360 Annual conference held at the Orlando World Center Marriott.  This session will take place on Tuesday, August 8 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom 7A on the Convention Level on Tuesday, August 8 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Ballroom 7A on the Convention Level.

The panel is moderated by David Sills, VP, Global Risk Management, Walmart Stores, Inc., and includes Valerie Franco, VP of Risk Management, Lowe’s Companies, Inc., and Max Koonce, Managing Director, Sedgwick Claims Management Services. York is represented by Chantel Mottram Kvigne, Vice President – Workers’ Compensation.

The panel begins with the premise that risk managers’ have the ability and duty to be proactive in driving the performance of claims management.  Given that the quality of the claims management will have a major impact on a company’s financial performance in the short, medium, and long term, managing the relationship between the risk manager and the TPA is critical. The group’s discussion will focus on “lessons learned” by these experts in claims management and discuss what builds and drives an effective relationship between claims management and the insured.
